Podstawa prawna: In accordance with the provisions of the Code of Best Practice for WSE Listed Companies, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange Rules, and the applicable legislation, the company Gorenje, d.d., is publishing the following announcement:
Panasonic Corporation and Gorenje Group signed today an amendment to the Strategic Alliance Agreement from July 5th, 2013, with which they have agreed to expand their strategic business cooperation to several new business segments, in addition to the already existing areas of cooperation.
Based on this amendment, the strategic cooperation will be expanded mainly to the following new business segments: (a) procurement of materials and components, (b) manufacturing innovation, (c) consumer (aftersales) services, (d) logistics, (e) quality assurance, (f) distribution of major and small domestic appliances on selected markets.
Both parties expect to realize business benefits from cooperation on these additional segments, with the aim to improve their overall international competitiveness, improve business efficiency and better serve their customers.
The amendment was signed today by Mr. Tetsuro Homma, President of the Appliances Company of the PANASONIC Corporation, and Mr. Franc Bobinac, President of Gorenje Group.
Panasonic Corporation is holding 9.5% shares of the Gorenje, d.d., Velenje, the parent company of the Gorenje Group.
