The microsite http://www.apta.bombardier.com previews Bombardier's presence at North America's largest trade show for public transit technology

BERLIN, GERMANY - (Marketwire - September 6, 2011) - "Shaping the Future of Mobility" is the theme under which Bombardier Transportation will showcase its innovative products and solutions at the American Public Transportation Association's EXPO 2011, to be held from October 3 to 5 in New Orleans. The microsite http://www.apta.bombardier.com offers a preview of Bombardier's participation at North America's leading trade show for public transit technology. It provides an overview on the most important sustainable mobility solutions Bombardier will showcase this year. Media representatives can also register for presentations from Bombardier experts or reserve an interview slot with Bombardier Transportation executives present at the event.

The focal point of Bombardier's exhibit, located in Hall H of the Ernest M. Morial Convention Centre, will be the launch of its new cutting-edge Light Rail Vehicle platform specifically designed for the North American market. EXPO attendees will have the opportunity to be guided through a full-scale visit of this innovative product and to experience the advantages of 100% low-floor, modular design for urban and suburban applications.

Bombardier will also introduce its BOMBARDIER PrimoveCity game-changing e-mobility solution, to answer growing demand for efficient and competitive systems to power all types of electric vehicles. There will also be interactive presentations of many innovative sustainable mobility solutions Bombardier puts forward, including BOMBARDIER INNOVIA transportation systems, BOMBARDIER FLEXX bogies, and BOMBARDIER CITYFLO signaling equipment. Another highlight of the exhibit will showcase the advantages for the North American market of the BOMBARDIER ALP-45 Dual Power locomotive, with hybrid propulsion technology that can operate both as an electric locomotive under catenary, as well as a diesel-electric locomotive on non-electrified train routes.

The http://www.apta.bombardier.com microsite is the ideal resource for anyone wishing to plan their visit to EXPO in advance.
